I am proud to share my son Frankie's journey as he fights cancer. I hope his story will inspire everyone to see how meaningful life is. I cannot tell you enough how grateful I am for the DMF Foundation! We appreciate your help so much! Thank you for everything!

With all my heartfelt gratitude, I want to deeply thank you for selecting me as a recipient of the Denise Marie Flaherty Memorial Foundation. Your generous support comes at a time when my family and I are facing some of the most difficult challenges of our lives, and it is truly a blessing! I am determined not to let cancer win, and with the encouragement and kindness from organizations like the Denise Marie Flaherty Memorial Foundation, my amazing community and family, I find the strength to keep pushing forward every day. Your support is helping me stay focused on what truly matters fighting for my health, my family, and my future. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. Your generosity means the world to us. Sincerely,

It is hard to put into words what the DMF has done/meant to me. When you are diagnosed with cancer, you have to deal with that and the physical/mental symptoms that accompany that. What you don't realize initially is the immediate financial burden that it imposes on someone like me. Forced to retire unexpectedly, no money coming in for several months, well, you can imagine or maybe not! DMF removed that heavy burden for me at a most important time in my life which allowed me to concentrate on my health. A Godsend, forever grateful

Our journey together has been full of ups and downs over the past 11 years. My husband and I met at the darkest time in our lives—we were both struggling with addiction, but together, we fought our way out. We got clean, built a home, had a beautiful son, and found happiness in the simple things. We didn’t need much—just each other, a roof over our heads, and food on the table. We’ve lived through a kind of hell that not many people understand, and I’m grateful we made it out. But this past year has been the hardest of my life. Watching the love of my life go through this battle has been devastating. On top of that, I lost my 31-year-old baby brother to a drug overdose. So many don’t make it, and I thank God every day that we did. But still, I find myself asking—why us? Why now? Just three months ago, everything changed with one word: cancer. I pray that this cancer is curable and that we will get through it, but right now, life feels like an uphill battle. Even in the struggle, I know I have to keep going. And thanks to this organization and its sponsors, I don’t have to worry about eviction, losing my car, or affording gas to get him to his appointments. This support is a blessing beyond words, and we are incredibly grateful.
